Vintage Couture Review and Giveaway

Sometimes I think I am the mother of one of the most girly-girls on the planet. My oldest daughter loves everything pink, sparkly, and girly. She is also quite particular about clothing. I once gave her a gray T-shirt to wear and she was astonished that I even dared to suggest she wear it. Instead, she choose a pinky shimmery top to wear. I am always looking for clothing that she may like. While she is OK with wearing something simple (sometimes), she usually prefers things that have flowers or look very girly. I came across the site, Vintage Couture, and I was impressed with the items they offer. So, I was thrilled when they agreed to do a review and giveaway on my blog.

They even offer stylish clothing for women! Besides clothing, they also carry a full line of accessories, including 18 inch doll clothing, hair-bows, headbands, and diaper bags.

My Review: I spent a lot of time browsing the site to select an outfit for my daughter. I loved that there were so many unique choices, including dresses and outfits that all feature vintage fabrics and creative designs. They also have gorgeous hair bows and headbands that any little girl would love. I finally selected the Flower Power Retro dress, which is from the Winter Collection.

The dress looked cute online, but I was honestly surprised with how beautiful it is in person. As soon as a I opened the package I noticed the shimmery details to the purple and black portions of the fabric. There are ruffle accents on the front, as well as fabric on the bottom of the dress and on the sleeves that are sparkly, which I knew my daughter would love. The main fabric of the dress features vibrant colors and a retro floral design. As soon as I showed it to my daughter, she was in love with it. She stared at it for a moment with wide eyes and then smiled, and then demanded to wear it right away.

The dress appears well-made and created from quality fabric. Some of the clothing the children has wears out quickly, since they like to wear certain outfits over and over again (really it is my oldest daughter that has special outfits that are pretty that she likes to wear often). This dress looks like it will stand up to regular wear and being washed often. It came out of the wash still looking like new, which is something important to me since I dislike having to hand-wash any clothes at all.

My daughter was in love with the dress and put it on as soon as I had washed it. Apparently, the dress makes her feel like a princess because she immediately grabbed her princess shoes, purse, and headband to wear with the dress. My daughter loved the dress so much that she spent the entire day in it and even went to sleep in it. I really like the entire design of the dress, as it is bold and colorful, with a flowy design that fits my daughter well. The dress is sized well, and she still has room to grow in it. The fabric is so soft and lightweight, so even though this dress is from the Winter collection, I know she will be able to wear throughout the Spring and probably sometimes during the Summer, as well.
